In The Red Sea The Blue Whale Is For The First Time Noticed

Ministry of ecology of Egypt has reported that in the Gulf of Akaba (Red Sea) the blue whale is noticed. Similar statements were also heard in the Israeli media where eyewitnesses reported that they saw the giant near the coast of Eilat.

The largest of the existing animals in the Red Sea is noticed for the first time for a history of observations. The minister of ecology of Egypt has made the order to monitor movements of a whale and to try to find out what has brought him into the Red Sea. Length of "tourist" — 24 meters, he belongs to subspecies of dwarfish blue whales (Balaenoptera musculus brevicauda). He could get to the Red Sea from the Indian Ocean through Bab el Mandeb Strait.

As experts note, the blue whale isn't a predator and doesn't constitute danger to people, however it isn't recommended to swim up to him extremely.
